Total quality management (TQM) is a comprehensive managerial philosophy and a collection of tools and approaches for its implementation. This course will examine quality production and service management from both managerial and technical perspectives. The human aspect of quality management, such as customer focus, teamwork, and supplier relationship, will be complemented by the methods and techniques of quality management: quality management system, continuous improvement, the voice of the customer, supplier relationship, teamwork, lean management initiatives, Six Sigma approach, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001, problem-solving and decision making, quality awards and quality function deployment (QFD).

Projects have been around since ancient times. Because of the ever-growing array of huge, complex, and technically challenging projects in today’s world, executives at the same time people in general has difficulty in understanding projects. Even though these people realize they need special tools, techniques, and knowledge to handle their new types of assignments, they may not be able or willing to devote large amounts of time to acquire them. The course covers key components of project management including modern project management, project times and costs, project schedule, managing risk, project teams etc. Several strategies, like interactive lecture, homework, self-assessment, brainstorming, group discussion will be followed to make students understand the course. Students will be evaluated on five categories namely attendance and participation, quiz, assignment, midterm and final exam

This course examines the role of innovation in the management of organisations. It explores the role of creativity as well as the nature and processes of organisational change. It focuses on technological, administrative, process innovation, contemporary techniques and procedures used to understand, initiate, plan, and implement change. It adopts a critical perspective and uses a multi-disciplinary framework, drawing on several areas to contribute to the theory and practice of innovation and change.
This course offers an overview on technology strategy and management and aims at providing the students with necessary knowledge and tools to understand, anticipate, acquire, and use technology for attaining competitiveness at the market place. The course will integrate both academic and practitioner views of the challenges facing corporations involved in managing technological innovation as well as approaches to dealing with these challenges successfully.
