The significance of Microprocessors and Assembly Language Lab is renowned in the various fields of engineering applications. For CSE, it is obligatory to have practical ideas about the applications of Microprocessors and Assembly Language.
The microprocessor is a semiconductor device (Integrated Circuit) manufactured by the VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) technique.

It includes the Arithmetic and Logic Unit, registers, and control circuit on a single chip, to perform a function. The memory and other external devices can be connected to the microprocessor. The microprocessor then commands these devices to act according to the program or code written in them.

The microprocessor has a Central Processing Unit, semiconductor memories like EPROM and RAM, an input device, an output device, and interfacing devices. The memories, input devices, output devices, and interfacing devices are called peripherals. The popular input devices are keyboards and floppy disks and the output devices are printers, LED/LCD displays, CRT monitors, etc.
