This course aims to focus on the semiconductor fundamentals and the theory behind solid state electronic devices. It introduces students with the fundamental issues involved in the design, simulation, verification, and manufacturing of solid state devices. This course creates a background in the physics of the compound semiconductor-based electronic devices and also prepares students for advanced courses in solid state electronics. The course provides an opportunity for students to continue education in undertaking advanced study and research in the variety of different branches of semiconductor device applications.
