PHR-202 : Physical Pharmacy-I

This course provides the education of basic knowledge of the chemistry used in our daily life. By studying this course we can embrace the knowledge about - preparation of the solution and its concentration determination; properties of the dilute solution; acidity and alkalinity, and pH of the solution; buffer solution and its importance; isotonic solution and tonicity adjustment, Chemical equilibrium, and phase rule of any system or any reaction. We will also learn about the necessity of heat and the application of heat in our daily life by studying this course.

Rationale: In order to prepare pharmaceuticals, pharmacy graduates should have knowledge about the standard set of conditions to prepare, analyze, and characterize the various type of products.

Course Learning Outcomes:  Analyze and characterize various samples in the pharmaceutical field.
