CYBER LAW

This course examines the legal environment relating to the internet, particularly issues relating to electronic commerce. It provides an understanding of how the law has reacted to the development of the internet and its use for business and for social interaction. This course is designed to study online computer contracts, data breaches and security, cloud computing, protection of confidential business information, e-discovery, defamation, computer crime and identity fraud, cyber-crime, data protection, intellectual property, social media, regulation of internet, dispute settlement process under the existing law etc. among others.
