Irrigation and Flood Control

This course is intended to basic way of irrigation, determination of optimum water requirements for irrigation, irrigation pump and their specification, irrigation requirements, salinity, leaching effect and their solution, different types of irrigation structures, different type of flood and their measures. Upon completing this course, they will be prepared to take more advanced about irrigation and flood control.

At the end of this course, students are able to:

CO2: Analyze the pump characteristics.
CO3: Analyze flood mitigation process.
