FABRIC ENGINEERING -KNITTING (FABRIC MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY II)

Providing more than 80% contributions to the total export earnings, the textile industry keeps a significant role in the economy of Bangladesh. Although this industry is diversified remarkably, only some major classes provide the lion’s share. Fabric engineering covers two of these major classes- weaving manufacturing & knitting manufacturing. 


Nowadays, a large number of Knitting factories are equipped with modern knitting machinery which demands technical experts. Knitted cloth fulfills the demand of RMG industries by acting as a strong backward linkage. This course covers all the necessary processes, terminology, basic elements & principle of knitting manufacturing. It will provide students a clear idea about the raw material & machine which will create an ability to apply the knowledge in their professional field. Moreover, the ability to identify, formulate & solve engineering problems is also possible which will lead them to engage in independent and lifelong learning.
