Course Title: Analysis of Statically Determinate Structures

Course ID: CE 701 (Credit Hours: 3)

This course is intended for civil engineers. The students will be able to identify the determinate and indeterminate structures, calculate the degree of indeterminacy of indeterminate structures and finally be able to analyze the determinate structures. Structural analysis is important as it provides a basis for structural design and also it evaluates whether a specific structural design will be able to withstand external and internal stresses and forces. The structural analysis helps to determine the cause of a structural failure.
