This course entitled Elizabethan and Restoration Drama provides students with an opportunity to identify three major British writers-Webster, Jonson, and Congreve and to interpret their plays. Students will be introduced with the concept of realism, humanism, enlightenment and socio-political condition of that time and they would be able to develop a rich perspective about the relevance of restoration literature in contemporary times.
