Course info
The purpose of the course is to get familiar with the fundamental theory and mathematics for analysing electrical AC circuits to understand the phenomenon of alternating current circuits, waveforms, values, power, the frequency response and resonance, and also to analyse magnetic circuits, filters, transmission line, three phase circuits and related systems. Finally, to introduce a way of thinking for problem solving in electrical engineering.
Outcomes:
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
CO1: Describe and demonstrate the parameters of waveform, electrical AC circuits.
CO2: Apply the theoretical knowledge to electrical AC circuits and power.
CO3: Analyze single & three phase AC systems.
CO4: Demonstrate the frequency response, magnetic circuits, transmission line and transient state.
