Mechanics of Solids I (FM_101 B,C,D,E)

This course is intended for civil engineering students to gain knowledge about stress, strain, modulus of elasticity, shear forces and bending moment due to applied load in the structures. Students can analyze stresses in beams and choose sections from AISC provided steel sections. They will know different types of material properties in elastic and plastic limits. In addition, they will be able to design bolted and welded connections between different steel structural members.
