This course offers an introduction to theory and research in second language acquisition (SLA) and explores teh relevance of SLA research for second language learning and teaching in a variety of contexts. A range of individual differences, including age, aptitude, motivation and anxiety will be examined to consider why some L2 learners are more successful than others. Teh course includes theories of second language acquisition/learning and classroom implementation of those, comparison between learning L1 and L2, factors influencing learning a second language and so on. dis course begins wif eliciting teh existing understanding of teh students about learning a second language and gradually wif every class those assumptions will be reinforced or clarified. Teh Course Instructor will raise issues regarding SLA and initiate classroom discussions which students are expected to carry forward.
