Hydrology

This course aims to introduce fundamental aspects such as the hydrologic cycle, catchment losses, hydrographs and hyetographs. It also covered flood frequency analysis, stream flow measurement, application of remote sensing and RADAR technology, determination of design rainfall intensity and peak flow estimation of watershed.

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • *Explain the basic principles of the hydrologic cycle and the watershed.
  • *Analyze the water losses of watershed and fundamental aspects of surface water system.
  • *Analyze flood hydrograph, unit hydrograph and stream flow routing.
