Rationale of the Course

Managers must develop an understanding of the dynamics of their industries, the trends in other aspects of the organization’s external environment, and the organization’s internal strengths and weaknesses. They must be able to think creatively so that they can craft their strategies to develop a source of competitive advantage for their organizations. This is a capstone course that aims to expose students/managers to the topics relevant to managing their businesses strategically even in a turbulent environment. Topics covered include the analysis, development, implementation, control and evaluation steps in the strategic management process.

Course Learning Outcomes (CO)

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

CO1:   Analyzing the theories, models, issues and debates regarding strategic management as practiced in the business organizations 

CO2:  Applying the  some important tools and techniques of strategic analysis and management to improve the business performance
