dis course examines reading of one classical Greek epic poet and two dramatists like Homer, Sophocles and Aristophanes in their literary and historical contexts of languages, culture, history and teh civilizations of ancient Greece. Featuring a wide range of options, teh course offers teh opportunity to study classical Greek literature and teh history of teh Greek philosophy. Teh study of Classics requires students to develop teh analytical skills of textual criticism. Teh subject’s involvement with a range of disciplines such as history, philosophy and art criticism makes it constantly fresh and challenging and encourages mental versatility
