Modern Vehicle Design is an interdisciplinary course that explores the principles, technologies, and engineering practices involved in the development of contemporary vehicles. The course integrates concepts from mechanical engineering, materials science, aerodynamics, manufacturing, electronics, and sustainability to examine how modern vehicles are designed for performance, safety, efficiency, comfort, and environmental responsibility. Students gain an understanding of vehicle architecture, structural design, powertrain systems, chassis, suspension, braking, and emerging technologies such as electric and autonomous vehicles. By combining engineering theory with computer-aided design (CAD), simulation, and real-world case studies, the course prepares students to address the evolving challenges of the automotive industry and contribute to the design of innovative, reliable, and sustainable transportation systems.
