Course info

This course provides a prologue to the concepts of machines and mechanism used in textile engineering fields. The focus is to illustrate the basic concepts of different mechanisms in different applications. Students will obtain an in-depth knowledge about motions of machines, cam-follower, balancing mass and energy system, vibration etc. This course also aims to analyze the stresses and deflections due to various loading. Upon completion of this course, students will have the competence to understand principles of different mechanism systems as well as will be able identify their practical uses.
