Pharmaceutical Analysis deals with the different techniques to identify or quantify a substance or components of pharmaceutical preparations or to determine the structure of these components. Also, these pharmaceuticals may develop impurities at various stages of their manufacture, transportation, and storage which should be detected and quantified to avoid unwanted risks. A variety of analytical instrumentation and methods such as titrimetric, chromatographic, spectroscopic electrophoretic, electrochemical, and their corresponding methods are used in the analysis of pharmaceutical preparations. Rationale: Students wishing to apply their pharmaceutical knowledge in the QC and QA department and in the research field subsequently, the pharmacy graduates need to be proficient in the different aspects of pharmaceutical analysis and quality control procedures at an advanced level.
