For companies operating in present days, survival can be incredibly difficult. Increasingly, companies face global markets where competition is intense and economic, social and legal circumstances are complex and therefore can change unexpectedly. Like a company's storehouse of human capital and experience, sources of competitive advantage, such as technological, product, or resource dominance, may easily erode. As such, development of organizations (OD) and change could not have been more critical and essential. This area of change incorporates knowledge of behavioral science to enhance the operation and efficiency of organizations and to increase their ability to change. Students will have evidence-based ideas and practices about how organizations can produce sustainable high performance and human fulfillment.
